Anodising is the electrolytic oxidation process in which the surface layer of metal is transformed to allow it to provide protective, decorative or functional properties. Its uses range from protecting satellites from the harsh environments of outer space, to providing asthetic finish to a wide range of componentry.
Our extensive experience of handling and processing a large range of section sizes and components means we are well placed to select the most suitable and cost effective method of anodising for our customers, as well as the most appropriate processor.
For example, this could be sourcing pre-anodised materials from our extensive bank of extrusion suppliers to selecting and controlling a network of specialised component anodisers, each with a vital role to play in the process.
For EDMO’s customers, the selection process is critical – and our experience allows us to provide the best fit solution in terms of design, component functionality, cost and supply logistics. |
